2011 was quite a year for the Zadge.
In 2011, the Zadge lost a dog but gained an Angel:
And then, on Memorial Day, she became Tat Von Z, in his honor:
Three months later — could it be related? — this little Angel popped into the Zadge’s life and the Zadge felt blessed:
In 2011, there were some near-death incidents.
In May, the Zadge’s 1896 Horse Stable-Posing-as-2011-Garage-with-a-mere-Three-Inches-of-Clearance suddenly jumped out at the Zadge’s car as the Zadge was pulling into it, causing some major body damage:
And then, an SUV ran a stop sign and crashed into the Zadge on her bicycle as she commuted to work. She was so stunned that she forgot to unleash the can of whoop-ass she carries with her at all times: “What the f&#k Mo%#er F*#$er are you doing, Blind Asswipe?”
In 2011, she also had the skin on her face lasered off and the shredded cartilage in her knee surgically removed:
And, as evidenced by Moomskers’ concern, there was that brief but illuminating minute when the Zadge suddenly sprouted a lamp from her head:
Oh, and also? In 2011, she also got bit by a 125 pound dog who was attacking Harry at the dog park – but you should see what the other guy looks like!
Of course, all of that paled in comparison to her time in 2011 on Match.com, where she was asked out by dudes like this:
In 2011, meeting guys in real life didn’t pan out so well for the Zadge either. Hello? Winky Weirdo Stalker.
Plus, she had to deal with the public humiliation of the Fake Boyfriend leaving her for another woman:
But don’t despair, in 2011, the Zadge did some fun things too.
She saw lots of live music, like Ray LaMontagne, Stevie Nicks, Zac Brown Band and Amos Lee.
She cooked her way through the ABC’s, well at least up to “R”:
She introduced her blog peeps to the phrase WHAT?!!
She renovated her third bedroom into a girly pink office:
She started and finished writing a novel:
She made new friends:
…and her favorite dogs:
Harry turned 4!
…and don’t forget Tulip!
The Zadge hopped on a plane and flew around.
To San Diego:
And, of course, to and from the East Coast to visit The Fin Fan Club:
She started a new project that she thinks is super exciting and hopes to be able to reveal it in the next few months.
And one more thing. She made more friends and deepened the friendship with many of her “old” friends, just from this little blog. The power of the blogosphere really is amazing. Just like all of you. Thank you for sharing the ride with me. I treasure each and every one of you. Well, except for that creepy stalker-reader who I had to threaten with police action. But other than that, I toast to all of you! HAPPY NEW YEAR!
